Jason, who joined the firm in September 2000, practices exclusively in the area of Workers’ Compensation. Born in Albany, New York, he graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in May 1997, received his law degree in May 2000 from Albany Law School, and was admitted to the bar in January 2001. In law school, Jason was active in the Litigation Clinic, which provided hands-on experience to practice law.
In his senior year at RPI, Jason was a basketball letterman and also captain of his team—a position that gives him intense pride. Today, when he leaves the office, you can find him lifting weights, swimming, as well as playing basketball.
Sports figures have always interested Jason. In particular, he admires Arnold Schwarznegger, the current governor of California and former bodybuilding champion. “Arnold came to the United States with nothing,” says Jason. “Over the years he overcame obstacles and worked very hard to establish himself in his profession. I admire those kinds of traits in a person.”
Jason’s greatest inspiration is his mother, who raised him and his sister as a single parent. “She’s my hero,” says Jason. “She overcame tremendous adversity after my parents divorced, aiming her sights high to attend nursing school at the age of 40, while raising two children. She has an amazing amount of love, compassion, and strength that I admire and respect. On my computer, I have a screensaver that reflects not only on the qualities of my mother, but my philosophy of life “Adapt and Overcome.” Jason resides with his wife Cathi and sons Anthony and Andre.
